Temporal Electron-Spin Splitter Based on a Semiconductor Microstructure Constructed on Surface of InAs/AlxIn1-x As Heterostructure by Patterning a Ferromagnetic Stripe and a Schottky-Metal Stripe

Mao-Wang Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the dwell time of electrons in a semiconductor microstructure by patterning a ferromagnetic stripe and a Schottky-metal stripe. We find that dwell time is spin-dependent, and can be controlled by changing the applied voltage to the Schottky-metal stripe. Therefore, this semiconductor microstructure can be utilized as an electrically tunable temporal spin splitter for spintronics device applications.
