Multipass cell for high-power few-cycle compression

Summary: A multipass cell for nonlinear compression to few-cycle pulse duration is introduced, utilizing dielectrically enhanced silver mirrors on silicon substrates. It achieves spectral broadening with high output power, high spatio-spectral homogeneity, and good output beam quality. Finite element analysis shows scalability of this cell to high average output power.
