Microstructure dependence of stress relaxation behavior of powder-processed Ni-base superalloys

Linhan Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the stress relaxation behavior at 700°C of two experimental and one commercial powder-possessed Ni-base superalloys with different microstructural characteristics under two different strain levels (0.6% and 2%). The results showed that phosphorus additions, secondary ?? microstructure, and tertiary ?? microstructure have different effects on stress relaxation behavior. Compositional and microstructural variations impact stress relaxation behavior differently following deformation to a total strain of 0.6%, but not after a total strain of 2%.

Quantitative mapping of service process-microstructural degradation-property deterioration for a Ni-based superalloy based on chord length distribution imaging process

Y. S. Fan et al.

Summary: The study focused on obtaining different degraded states of DS Ni-based superalloy microstructures through stress treatments, extracting core microstructural indicators using principal component analysis, establishing a response surface, and constructing a multi-output support vector regression model for mapping service process to microstructural degradation. The results showed acceptable accuracy in estimating the microstructural degradation of pre-serviced alloys and provided a technical chain for determining waste and estimating microstructural degradation of hot section components made by DS and SC Ni-based superalloys.

Electronic structures and properties of TiAl/Ti2AlNb heterogeneous interfaces: A comprehensive first-principles study

Chengxiong Zou et al.

Summary: This study comprehensively investigated the electronic structures and properties of ten TiAl/Ti2AlNb heterogeneous interfaces, revealing their interfacial bonding features, strength, and relative stability. The analysis showed that the TiAl/D0(19) interface with the lowest energy was considered the most stable phase boundary.
