Summary: This paper analyzes the relationship between corporate sustainability (CS) and multinational enterprises (MNEs), based on primary data collected from subsidiary managers in the hotel industry in 19 different countries. The study identifies four different clusters of firm behaviors based on external stimuli and internal obstacles, with some subsidiaries being proactive in implementing CS activities while others are sluggish.
