Factors influencing strength of magnesium oxychloride cement

Avanish Singh et al.

Summary: The performance of magnesium oxychloride cement (MOC) is influenced by various variables such as the calcination temperature of MgO, purity of MgCl2, concentration of MgCl2 solution, and the fineness of inert filler material. The study found that the degree of calcination of MgO, concentration of MgCl2 solution (degrees Be), and fineness of inert material are key factors controlling strength development in MOC, while the purity of MgCl2 has insignificant influence on strength development.

Stability Evaluation and Mechanism of Asphalts Modified With Various Rubber Powder Contents

Hengxiao Xue et al.

Summary: The study found that the storage properties of modified asphalt have a positive correlation with rubber powder content, with 60% rubber powder content being the optimal mixing amount for uniform distribution in the asphalt matrix. The activated rubber powder shows better compatibility compared with ordinary rubber powders and is a promising method for treating waste ground tires.

Research on the properties of rubber concrete containing surface-modified rubber powders

Liang He et al.

Summary: In this study, the effect of modified rubbers on the surface characteristics and engineering practicability of rubber concrete was investigated. The results showed that rubber modification improved the interaction between cement paste and rubber, leading to enhancements in compressive strength, flexural strength, tensile splitting strength, and impact resistance of the rubber concrete. Additionally, strength loss of rubber concrete was significantly reduced after rubber modification, indicating good application potential.
