Inhibition of ELF3 confers synthetic lethality of PARP inhibitor in non-small cell lung cancer

Yan Wang et al.

Summary: The study found that ELF3 was up-regulated in NSCLC cell lines resistant to PARP inhibitor Olaparib. Knocking down ELF3 decreased sensitivity to Olaparib and increased cytotoxicity in NSCLC cells. This suggests that targeting ELF3 in combination with PARP inhibitors may have clinical significance in treating ELF3-deficient NSCLC.

Down-regulation of lncRNA HCG11 promotes cell proliferation of oral squamous cell carcinoma through sponging miR-455-5p

Jingjing Wu et al.

Summary: The study revealed that lncRNA HCG11 negatively regulated miR-455-5p to affect the downstream pathway involving PTPRS, thereby modulating the proliferation and growth of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).

Long non-coding RNA LINC01207 promotes cell proliferation and migration but suppresses apoptosis and autophagy in oral squamous cell carcinoma by the microRNA-1301-3p/lactate dehydrogenase isoform A axis

Xiaolin Lu et al.

Summary: This study reveals that LINC01207 is overexpressed in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and promotes OSCC cell proliferation and migration by interacting with microRNA-1301-3p (miR-1301-3p). The effects of LINC01207 downregulation on OSCC cells can be reversed by overexpression of lactate dehydrogenase isoform A (LDHA).

The regulation of long non-coding RNA 00958 (LINC00958) for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells death through absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) depending on microRNA-4306 and Sirtuin1 (SIRT1) in vitro

Lei Jiang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the functions of long non-coding RNAs in OSCC, with a focus on LINC00958. The research found that LINC00958 plays a role in regulating cell proliferation, death, and autophagy, as well as modulating the expression of miR-4306, AIM2, SIRT1, and GSDMD proteins. This regulation pathway involves the activation of the pyroptosis pathway mediated by AIM2 and the reduction of p53 levels through SIRT1 downregulation.
