European Association of Urology Guidelines on Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer (Ta, T1, and Carcinoma in Situ)

Marko Babjuk et al.

Summary: The updated EAU guidelines provide new information on the diagnosis and treatment of NMIBC for clinical practice. Individual risk assessment is crucial in determining the appropriate treatment for patients with different risk levels. Surgical intervention, including radical cystectomy, may be necessary for cases unresponsive to BCG treatment or with high risk of progression.

Mean apparent diffusion coefficient in a single slice may predict tumor response to whole-brain radiation therapy in non-small-cell lung cancer patients with brain metastases

Lihao Zhao et al.

Summary: The mean single-plane ADC value pre-WBRT and Delta ADC post-WBRT were potential predictors for intracranial tumor response to WBRT in NSCLC patients with brain metastases. Higher mean ADC value pre-WBRT and ADC post-WBRT of brain metastases were related to better intracranial tumor response. Prediction of response before WBRT using ADC value can help oncologists to make better therapy plans and avoid missing opportunities for rescue therapy.
