KiDS-1000 Cosmology: Multi-probe weak gravitational lensing and spectroscopic galaxy clustering constraints

Catherine Heymans et al.

Summary: This study combines weak gravitational lensing observations from KiDS-1000, redshift-space galaxy clustering observations from BOSS, and galaxy-galaxy lensing observations from overlapping surveys to constrain the structure growth parameter S-8, resulting in a discrepancy with the Planck observations by 8.3% relative to Planck. The systematic uncertainties identified through various analyses are incorporated into the cosmological analysis, revealing a tension in the matter fluctuation amplitude parameter, sigma(8).

Dynamical dark energy after Planck CMB final release and H0 tension

Weiqiang Yang et al.

Summary: This article compares various dynamical dark energy models using different observational data and discusses the alleviation of H-0 tension. Bayesian evidence analysis shows that all models perform better than Lambda CDM scenario, with the CPL model being the best in fitting the data and solving H-0 tension. However, the tension reappears when considering the baryon acoustic oscillations data, not supporting the dynamical dark energy solution.

Quantifying the S8 tension with the Redshift Space Distortion data set

David Benisty

Summary: The Lambda CDM model faces tension between S-8 values from different observations, with analysis showing variations in tension levels based on different kernels. The tension is currently less than 1.5 sigma, with potential for reduction through future measurements.

Arbitrating the S8 discrepancy with growth rate measurements from redshift-space distortions

Rafael C. Nunes et al.

Summary: The article discusses the discrepancy of the S-8 parameter within the Lambda cold dark matter model, and notes that there is not yet strong evidence from combined growth rate and geometrical measurements to support the overprediction of matter fluctuations at redshifts z less than or equal to 1 by Planck Lambda CDM cosmology.
