High dielectric tunability with high thermal stability of the (111) highly oriented 0.85Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)-0.15PbTiO3 thin film prepared by a sol-gel method

Feifei Han et al.

Summary: In this study, highly oriented (100), (110), and (111) 0.85Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)-0.15PbTiO3 (PMN-15PT) relaxor ferroelectric thin films were successfully prepared using a sol-gel method. The (111) highly oriented PMN-15PT thin film exhibited high dielectric tunability, thermal stability, and frequency-independent dielectric tunability.

Investigation on barometric and hydrostatic pressure sensing properties of Pb[(Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.7Ti0.3]O3 electro-ceramics

Summary: The single-phase PMN-0.3 PT electro-ceramics fabricated using a two-stage solid-state reaction technique exhibit high-quality microstructure with ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties, making them suitable for pressure transducer applications. The ceramics demonstrate gradual changes in capacitance and capacitive reactance under different pressure ranges, showing % sensitivity of 0.10 MPa-1 in the Hydraulic pressure range (10-50 MPa) and % sensitivity of 0.02 kPa(-1) in the Barometric pressure range (25-250 kPa).

Domain structure evolution during alternating current poling and its influence on the piezoelectric properties in [001]-cut rhombohedral PIN-PMN-PT single crystals

A. D. Ushakov et al.

Summary: The extensively studied PMN-PT and PIN-PMN-PT crystals with compositions close to the morphotropic phase boundary have excellent piezoelectric characteristics. Recently developed alternating current treatment further enhances the piezoelectric performance. A study on [001]-oriented PIN-PMN-PT single crystals during alternating current poling revealed the importance of cross-like and lens-shaped domain structures in improving the piezoelectric properties. The interaction between these domain structures is proposed as a key mechanism for enhancing the piezoelectric performance.

Summary: Ferroelectric thin films doped with rare earth ions were successfully grown using a sol-gel/spin coating method, showing improved electrical properties and photoluminescence performance. Doping led to higher dielectric permittivity and remanent polarization in the films, along with strong emission at specific temperature ranges.
