Fluorescence enhancement of a single germanium vacancy center in a nanodiamond by a plasmonic Bragg cavity

Shailesh Kumar et al.

Summary: Germanium vacancy (GeV) centers in diamonds are a promising platform for single-photon sources in quantum information technologies. Circular plasmonic Bragg cavities are used to enhance emission from single GeV centers in nanodiamonds, with a decay-rate enhancement of approximately 5.5 confirmed experimentally.

Quantum computer based on color centers in diamond

Sebastien Pezzagna et al.

Summary: Artificial atoms like NV centers in diamond have enabled the realization of fully functional qubits in a solid at room temperature. Although quantum sensing has been established and advancements are being made, the development of a quantum computer remains challenging due to technical reasons and limitations of available materials. Ideas are being proposed to overcome these limitations, and the field is constantly progressing with promising concepts for development.

Temperature dependence of optical centers in Ib diamond characterized by photoluminescence spectra

Bing Dong et al.

Summary: The optical properties of defects in Ib diamond prepared by CVD and HPHT methods were studied using photoluminescence in a temperature range from 77 to 297 K. The temperature dependence of color centers in diamond and the zero-phonon line shift, intensity, and FWHM were analyzed. The study showed significant temperature dependence for the ZPL, with potential for temperature sensing, and a cubic function was found to well describe the broadening of ZPLs.
