Nanotechnology in Wastewater Management: A New Paradigm Towards Wastewater Treatment

Keerti Jain et al.

Summary: Clean and safe water is a fundamental human need, but the generation of wastewater has severely polluted water sources, leading to millions of deaths annually due to consumption of water contaminated by deleterious pathogens. Nanotechnology, with its promising characteristics such as high sensitivity, high adsorption capacity, and ease of functionalization, has shown remarkable feats in the field of wastewater treatment.

Green Synthesis of Kaolin-Supported Nanoscale Zero-Valent Iron UsingRuellia tuberosaLeaf Extract for Effective Decolorization of Azo Dye Reactive Black 5

Uraiwan Khunjan et al.

Summary: Kaolin-supported nanoscale zero-valent iron (K-NZVI) was successfully synthesized using a green synthesis method with Ruellia tuberosa leaf extract as a reducing agent. The synthesized K-NZVI demonstrated high efficiency in decolorizing Reactive Black 5 (RB5) dye under acidic pH conditions.
