Flexible nanocellulose-based SERS substrates for fast analysis of hazardous materials by spiral scanning

Si Won Song et al.

Summary: A rapid measurement system using a flexible nanocellulose-based SERS substrate and a spiral scanning system has been developed for assessing harmful chemicals, with successful testing of the toxic fungicide thiram. The system has potential for fast and quantitative Raman spectroscopic analysis, offering a powerful tool for toxic materials detection.

Plasmon-Free Polymeric Nanowrinkled Substrates for Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy of Two-Dimensional Materials

Marziye Mirbagheri et al.

Summary: The study presents a plasmon-free polymeric nanowrinkled substrate for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), demonstrating a reproducible, stable, and homogeneous nanowrinkled structure suitable for SERS applications. The enhanced SERS performance of the wrinkled substrate in detecting graphene and hexagonal boron nitride is significantly higher compared to conventional SiO2/Si surfaces, showing improved Raman band intensities by factors of 8 and 50, respectively.
