Buoyant Convective Flow and Heat Dissipation of Cu-H2O Nanoliquids in an Annulus Through a Thin Baffle

B. Pushpa et al.

Summary: This article numerically investigates the buoyant convective flow and thermal transport enhancement of Cu-H2O nanoliquid in a differentially heated upright annulus having a thin baffle. The average Nu number is enhanced by adding Cu nanoparticles to the base liquid, and it is found that liquid flow and heat transport can be successfully controlled via the appropriate selection of baffle location and length. Specifically, a baffle length equal to 20% of the annular width placed at 80% of the annular height has been found to produce higher thermal transport rates compared to other choices of baffle lengths and positions.

Boiling flow of graphene nanoplatelets nano-suspension on a small copper disk

Marjan Goodarzi et al.

Summary: This study experimentally quantified the boiling heat transfer coefficient of graphene oxide-water nano-suspension in inflow boiling heat transfer regime and found that the presence of graphene oxide imposed extreme fouling thermal resistance to the surface, leading to a reduction in BHTC. Additionally, the sedimentation layer promoted the critical heat flux point while increasing heat flux and flow rate increased BHTC.

On 3D Prandtl nanofluid flow with higher-order chemical reaction

Mohamed R. Eid et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the boundary layer analysis of three-dimensional Prandtl nanofluid flow over a convectively heated sheet in a porous material, featuring nonlinear radiation and high-order chemical reaction analysis. Nonlinear differential equations representing flow expressions were numerically solved, and the influences of different flow regimes on thermofluidic parameters were extensively discussed. The results showed that velocity field lines increased with the strengthening of Prandtl fluid numbers beta(1) and beta(2), while a reverse trend was observed for temperature profile, and an improvement in magnetic strength triggered considerable changes in skin friction coefficient and heat transfer rate. The obtained results closely matched those available in the literature.

Numerical Treatment for Dynamics of Second Law Analysis and Magnetic Induction Effects on Ciliary Induced Peristaltic Transport of Hybrid Nanomaterial

Saeed Ehsan Awan et al.

Summary: This study investigates entropy generation and heat transfer rate in the peristalsis of hybrid nanofluid induced by metachronal ciliary beating under a magnetic environment. The findings suggest that utilizing hybrid nanomaterial can enhance the thermal performance of the fluid, while a strong magnetic field results in a decrease in entropy with thermal heat generation leading to an increase in the system's entropy.

Summary: This study investigates the laminar flow of a nanoliquid in a trapezoidal cavity and measures the convective exchanges that occur. The results show that the application of a magnetic field strongly influences the flow of the nanofluid, and the thermal performance of the cavity is improved with the increase of Ra and Hartmann numbers.

Bioconvection Reiner-Rivlin Nanofluid Flow between Rotating Circular Plates with Induced Magnetic Effects, Activation Energy and Squeezing Phenomena

Muhammad Bilal Arain et al.

Summary: This article discusses the unsteady flow of Reiner-Rivlin nanofluid in rotating circular plates located at a finite distance, using transformation variables for mathematical formulation and solving equations using the Differential Transformation Method (DTM) with Pade approximation. The impact of various physical parameters on velocity, magnetic field, temperature, concentration field, and motile gyrotactic microorganism functions is analyzed. The study also demonstrates the stability and accuracy of the DTM-Pade method in modeling practical cases in geophysics, oceanography, and industrial applications like turbomachinery.

ASSESSMENT OF ENTROPY GENERATION AND HEAT TRANSFER IN THREE-DIMENSIONAL HYBRID NANOFLUIDS FLOW DUE TO CONVECTIVE SURFACE AND BASE FLUIDS

Himanshu Upreti et al.

Summary: This study investigates the entropy generation of hybrid nanofluids flow on a porous stretching surface under the influence of thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and convective boundary conditions. The investigation reveals the patterns of velocities/temperature, Nusselt and Bejan numbers, and entropy generation in relation to various parameters, using the Xue model of thermal conductivity for nanofluids. The comparison of different hybrid nanofluids with thermal profiles shows that the CNT-engine oil hybrid nanofluid exhibits more significant behavior near the surface compared to other hybrid nanofluids.
