Temporal Variations in Chemical Composition, In Vitro Digestibility, and Metabolizable Energy of Plant Species Browsed by Goats in Southern Mediterranean Forest Rangeland

Summary: The study evaluated seasonal variations in the chemical composition and in vitro digestibility of plant species browsed by goats in the Southern Mediterranean forest rangeland of northern Morocco. Most plant species showed highest nutritive value in spring and lowest in summer and autumn. With good grazing management, goats can ensure high-quality feeding resources throughout the year.
