Enhanced degradation of complex organic compounds in wastewater using different novel continuous flow non-Thermal pulsed corona plasma discharge reactors

Narasamma Nippatlapalli et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the degradation of pharmaceutically active compounds in water bodies using pulsed corona plasma technology. Three different plasma reactors were designed and experimented, showing that continuous flow reactors achieved higher degradation efficiency, shorter treatment time, and lower energy consumption.

Inactivation efficacy and mechanism of pulsed corona discharge plasma on virus in water

Kaige Song et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that pulsed corona discharge plasma (PCDP) can effectively inactivate waterborne viruses, such as SVCV, by damaging their genome and structural proteins. The research also showed that the inactivation efficiency was significantly improved by high input energy density caused by voltage. This has implications for waterborne virus removal and the development of novel disinfection technologies.
