Analysis of a dyadic sustainable supply chain under asymmetric information

Alok Raj et al.

Summary: This study examines a sustainable supply chain with various decision alternatives, comparing the outcomes and determining the optimal values of decision variables. It finds that the linear two-part tariff contract is the superior choice, with higher value of information for all decision alternatives.

Optimal build-operate-transfer road contracts under information asymmetry and uncertainty

Shasha Shi et al.

Summary: This study finds that encouraging a private firm to truthfully report information in a BOT contract can increase the optimal volume/capacity ratio of the road, but also lead to a loss in social welfare. An increase in information asymmetry does not necessarily result in a greater loss in social welfare, and the impact of information asymmetry on welfare loss varies with different probability distributions. Information asymmetry and uncertainty in BOT contracts amplify each other's effects, but welfare loss is not necessarily amplified.
