PROBLEMS OF COGNITIVE STRATEGIES AND EMOTIONAL REGULATION OF TEACHERS IN MODERN EDUCATION

Rashid Jabbarov et al.

Summary: This article examines the manifestations of cognitive strategies and emotional regulation among teachers. The study involves 64 teachers with different academic backgrounds and teaching at different faculties. The findings suggest that age plays a role in shaping cognitive strategies and emotional self-regulation of teachers. Cognitive strategies and expressive suppression of emotions are associated with different qualities of teachers. Adequate self-regulation of emotion is more significantly related to cognitive strategy than expressive suppression. The study also reveals correlations between cognitive reappraisal and personality traits, as well as emotional intelligence and resilience among teachers.

Establishing forest resilience indicators in the hilly red soil region of southern China from vegetation greenness and landscape metrics using dense Landsat time series

Meiling Liu et al.

Summary: Resilience is the capacity of an ecosystem to respond and recover from damage or stress, and this study uses dense Landsat time series to establish forest resilience indicators and assess forest response to disturbance magnitude, finding that different indicators show varying levels of resilience.

The frequency and severity of past droughts shape the drought sensitivity of juniper trees on the Tibetan plateau

Ouya Fang et al.

Summary: Forests' resistance and sensitivity to extreme climatic events are influenced by their ability to learn from past droughts. Factors such as geographical location, drought frequency, and previous droughts affect tree resistance and sensitivity to extreme drought events. This study helps us understand the vulnerability of high-elevation forest ecosystems on the Tibetan Plateau and is important for sustainable development under a changing climate.

Indicator-based vulnerability assessment of forest ecosystem in the Indian Western Himalayas: An analytical hierarchy process integrated approach

Manoj Kumar et al.

Summary: Assessing the vulnerability of forests in the Indian Western Himalayan region involved using six indicators and mapping vulnerability across different grid sizes, with the highest concentration of very high and high vulnerable grids located in Uttarakhand. The study showed that forests at higher elevations were less vulnerable compared to forests at lower altitudes.

Characterizing forest vulnerability and risk to climate-change hazards

Judit Lecina-Diaz et al.

Summary: The proposed framework offers a general method for assessing forest vulnerability and risk, including concepts of exposure, hazard magnitude, susceptibility, and lack of adaptive capacity. It provides a standardized procedure for defining and combining these components, along with a list of indicators applicable to the primary hazards to forests associated with climate change.
