Environmental Sustainability Enhancement of Waste Disposal Sites in Developing Countries through Controlling Greenhouse Gas Emissions

By simulating different landfill situations, it was found that a conventional anaerobic landfill with methane capturing facilities and post-aeration operation is the most environmentally sustainable approach, controlling 65% of residual methane emissions compared to the present scenario.
