Just a little bit more legumes! Results of an online survey in Europe

Stephan Marette et al.

Summary: A web survey conducted in France, Germany, Poland, and the UK revealed that providing information about the benefits of legumes can significantly influence purchase intent. Although the impact was relatively small, approximately 10% of participants changed their purchase intention after learning this information. Information about the environmental benefits of the food had a greater impact on purchase intent than information about its nutritional benefits, across countries and products.

Effects of front-of-pack labels on the nutritional quality of supermarket food purchases: evidence from a large-scale randomized controlled trial

Pierre Dubois et al.

Summary: The study found that in real-life grocery shopping settings, Nutri-Score was the most effective nutrition label in increasing the proportion of purchases of foods with higher nutritional quality, but had no impact on foods with lower nutritional quality. The research also indicated that Nutri-Score's performance may be related to its ability to attract attention and help shoppers rank products.
