This strategy of enhancing cationic ordering while reducing lattice thermal conductivity is applicable to most thermoelectric materials with inherent atomic disorder.

Performance, combustion characteristics and economics analysis of a combined thermoelectric and thermophotovoltaic power system

Summary: The study aims to investigate the performance and combustion characteristics of different fuel blends in a combined thermoelectric and thermophotovoltaic energy system. Results showed that electrical power output varied linearly in lean mixtures and peaked slightly rich of stoichiometry, gradually declining in rich mixtures. Efficient heat transfer from stabilized porous combustion to input of thermoelectric and thermophotovoltaic cells was observed, with emissions minimally affected by changes in vegetable cooking oil contents.
