On numerical and analytical solutions for mixed convection Falkner-Skan flow of nanofluids with variable thermal conductivity

Nawel Boumaiza et al.

Summary: This study introduces the effects of variable thermal conductivity and an external magnetic field on mixed convection in the Falkner-Skan system filled with nanoparticles, and analyzes the impact through numerical and analytical methods. Results show the influence of variable thermal conductivity compared to the traditional constant conductivity case, as well as the advantages of the analytical method used.

Entropy analysis of a hydromagnetic micropolar dusty carbon NTs-kerosene nanofluid with heat generation: Darcy-Forchheimer scheme

Mohamed R. Eid et al.

Summary: The current study examines the impact of carbon nanotubes suspended magnetohydrodynamics micropolar dusty nanofluid impinging on a permeable extending sheet placed in a porous regime. The shooting method is used to obtain numerical solutions of the transformed-converted system of nonlinear equations. Increase in suction parameter decreases flow velocity and temperature, while injection increases them. An increase in magnetic strength results in an increase in skin friction and heat transfer rate.

Numerical solution for Sisko nanofluid flow through stretching surface in a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium with thermal radiation

Himanshu Upreti et al.

Summary: This study investigates heat transfer assessments in a Sisko nanofluid flow over a stretching surface in a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium with heat generation and thermal radiation. The influence of Forchheimer number, porosity, heat generation, radiation, and material parameters on the heat transfer characteristics is examined. It is found that heat transfer function decreases with an increase in Forchheimer number, while the heat transfer characteristics of Sisko nanofluid increase with heat generation and material parameters.

Numerical approach for chemical reaction and suction/injection impacts on magnetic micropolar fluid flow through porous wedge with Hall and ion-slip using Keller Box method

Khilap Singh et al.

Summary: In this study, the influence of chemical reaction, magnetic field, and slip on micropolar fluid flow through a porous wedge in the presence of Hall and ion-slip effects was investigated. Highly non-linear PDEs were transformed into a set of non-linear coupled ODEs using similarity transformation. The heat transfer characteristics of the magnetic fluid increased with slip and power-law parameters, while the mass transfer function escalated with material and chemical reaction parameters.

Numerical Analysis of Micro-Rotation Effect on Nanofluid Flow for Vertical Riga Plate

Hammad Alotaibi et al.

Summary: The study focuses on analyzing the heat and mass transport phenomenon of micropolar nanofluid flow on a vertical stretching Riga plate, using electromagnetic hydrodynamic behavior. The influences of Brownian motion and thermophoresis on the plate are examined, as well as the micro-rotational effects of particles. Numerical computations show good agreement with earlier studies, with velocity profiles corresponding with modified Hartmann numbers and increased energy and mass flux rates. Concentration distribution decreases with higher Brownian motion values, while temperature distribution increases with higher values of both Brownian motion and thermophoresis, showing a direct relation with thermophoretic impact.

Numerical Treatment of MHD Flow of Casson Nanofluid via Convectively Heated Non-Linear Extending Surface with Viscous Dissipation and Suction/Injection Effects

Hammad Alotaibi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the impact of heat absorption and suction on magnetohydrodynamic boundary-layer flow of Casson nanofluid on a nonlinear stretching surface. Numerical computations using Maple 15 software show the influence of control parameters on nanoparticle concentration profiles, temperature, and flow velocity. The results are in excellent agreement with previous studies, indicating an enhancement in heat and mass transfer rates with increasing power-index and suction parameters, while being reduced with higher Casson and heat absorption parameters.
