Direct photoreactive immobilization of water-soluble phospholipid polymers on substrates in an aqueous environment

Kyoko Fukazawa et al.

Summary: This study synthesized water-soluble photoreactive polymers PMEPAz and investigated their adsorption and photoreaction behavior on substrate surfaces in aqueous environments. By achieving effective control of the polymer solubilization and adsorption behaviors, a uniform and stable polymer layer with a thickness of 3.4 nm was formed on the substrate surface, leading to enhanced hydrophilicity and suppression of fibrinogen adsorption and platelet adhesion.
