Far beyond the planar limit in strongly-coupled N=4 SYM

Shai M. Chester et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the N = 4 super-Yang-Mills theory placed on a round four-sphere and deformed by a mass parameter while using supersymmetric localization to compute the free energy. A new exact relation was derived between the fourth derivative of the sphere free energy and the stress-tensor multiplet four-point function in the N = 4 SYM theory, which was then utilized along with other constraints to determine various perturbative terms in the large N and large 't Hooft coupling lambda expansion. The leading large-lambda term in the N = 4 SYM correlation function at order 1/N-8 was determined, reaching three orders beyond the planar limit.

Maximal U(1)Y-violating n-point correlators in N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory

Michael B. Green et al.

Summary: This paper looks at a specific class of n-point correlation functions in the context of N = 4 supersymmetric SU(N) Yang-Mills theory. These correlators violate the U(1)(Y) charge by a maximum of 2(n - 4) units and satisfy recursion relations similar to the soft dilaton relations in type IIB superstring theory. The Mellin representations of these correlators correspond to higher derivative contact terms in the low-energy expansion of type IIB superstring theory in AdS(5)x S-5.

Strong-coupling results for N=2 superconformal quivers and holography

M. Billo et al.

Summary: In this study, N=2 superconformal quiver gauge theories in four dimensions are considered, with evaluations of the chiral/anti-chiral correlators of single-trace operators. The article demonstrates the convenience of forming particular twisted and untwisted combinations of these operators suggested by the dual holographic description of the theory. Results show that various twisted sectors are orthogonal and correlators in each sector have the same structure, as confirmed through perturbation theory with Feynman diagrams.

Novel Representation of an Integrated Correlator in N=4 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory

Daniele Dorigoni et al.

Summary: This study reexpresses the integrated correlator of four superconformal stress-tensor primaries of N = 4 supersymmetric SU(N) Yang-Mills theory as a two-dimensional lattice sum, which is shown to be invariant under SL (2, Z) S duality. The lattice sum is proven to satisfy a novel Laplace equation in the complex coupling constant z, connecting the SU(N) integrated correlator to those of the SU(N + 1) and SU(N - 1) theories. It accurately reproduces both perturbative and nonperturbative properties of N = 4 SYM for any finite N, as well as extending previously conjectured properties of the large-N expansion.

Towards the Virasoro-Shapiro amplitude in AdS5xS5

Theresa Abl et al.

Summary: A systematic procedure is proposed to obtain all single trace 1/2-BPS correlators in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory corresponding to the four-point tree-level amplitude for type IIB string theory in AdS(5) x S-5. This involves computing generalised contact Witten diagrams from a 10-dimensional effective field theory on AdS(5) x S-5 whose coefficients are determined by the flat space Virasoro-Shapiro amplitude, with ambiguities related to commutators of 10-dimensional covariant derivatives that require additional information like localisation. Stringy corrections to the supergravity prediction for all single trace 1/2-BPS correlators up to O(alpha' (7)) are computed as an illustration of this procedure, along with a general algorithm for extending it to any order in alpha'.

New modular invariants in N=4 Super-Yang-Mills theory

Shai M. Chester et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the modular invariants in the four-point functions of stress tensor multiplet operators in the N = 4 SU(N) super-Yang-Mills theory, revealing their forms at different orders in the 1/N expansion and their implications for the low-energy expansion in superstring theory and the analogous expansion in AdS(5) x S-5. The results provide evidence that these modular invariants are related to non-holomorphic Eisenstein series and generalized Eisenstein series at different orders in 1/N, shedding light on the structure of the expansions in higher-dimensional spaces.

Exact properties of an integrated correlator in N=4 SU(N) SYM

Daniele Dorigoni et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel expression for an integrated correlator in SU(N) N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory, applicable to all N and values of the complex Yang-Mills coupling. The correlator can be expressed as an infinite series of non-holomorphic Eisenstein series and rational coefficients, and is invariant under SL(2,Z) Montonen-Olive duality. Furthermore, the large-N expansion of the correlator with fixed tau is a series in powers of N1/2-l with coefficients that are rational sums of Es;tau(tau) over bar, giving an all orders derivation of the conjectured expansion.

Exact results in a N=2 superconformal gauge theory at strong coupling

M. Beccaria et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the N=2 SYM theory with gauge group SU(N), utilizing Pestun's matrix model for analysis. It successfully expresses a large class of observables and generates high-order perturbative expansions, while also studying the leading behavior at strong coupling. The comparison with direct Monte Carlo numerical evaluation and Pade resummations from long perturbative series shows high stability beyond the convergence disk |lambda| < (2).
