Vision Shapes Tactile Spatial Perspective Taking

Summary: The study explores the impact of vision on naturally adopted perspectives and the ability to switch perspectives in the tactile domain. Results show that both temporary and permanent vision loss lead to spontaneous adoption of head-centered ego-centered spatial coordinates. Blind individuals exhibit less ability to adopt decentered perspectives, with early blind individuals showing difficulty in switching perspectives compared to sighted individuals.
