Development and examination of the attribution questionnaire-substance use disorder (AQ-SUD) to measure public stigma towards adolescents experiencing substance use disorders

Summary: This study developed and validated the AQ-SUD to evaluate public stigma towards adolescents with SUDs, showing good psychometric properties. Other stigma scales also demonstrated good convergent and divergent validity for the AQ-SUD. Preliminary analysis revealed significant differences in attitudes towards adolescent marijuana use disorder compared to other SUDs.
