Maowei Jiang et al.

Summary: This study reports the preparation of all-inorganic nano-sized crystallite CsPbBrxI3-x thin films by a one-step spin-coating method, which exhibit quantum confinement effects and emit high color purity pure-red light in the resulting LEDs. The LEDs show low turn-on voltages, high external quantum efficiency, and good color stability under bias condition, meeting the requirements of Rec. 2020.

Highly Luminescent and Stable CsPbI3 Perovskite Nanocrystals with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Ligand Passivation for Red-Light-Emitting Diodes

Jibin Zhang et al.

Summary: This study introduces stable and highly luminescent black-phase CsPbI3 nanocrystals passivated by novel ligands of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), which exhibit significantly reduced surface defects, enhanced stability, and superior photoluminescence efficiency. Red perovskite light-emitting diodes based on the SDS-CsPbI3 nanocrystals achieve an external quantum efficiency of 8.4%, showing a 4-fold improvement compared to devices using oleic acid-modified CsPbI3 nanocrystals.

Organoammonium-Ion-based Perovskites Can m. Degrade to Pb0 via Amine-Pb(II) Coordination

Junnan Hu et al.

Summary: The degradation of alkylammonium Pb-II halide perovskites, both in the dark and under irradiation near room temperature, involves coordinated amine as the dominant reducing agent to yield Pb-0 as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The reduction of Pb-II first involves amine coordination, supported by Pb-207 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. It is proposed that the conversion of an alkylammonium moiety to the Pb-II-amide occurs through a sequence of photoassisted proton-transfer reactions to a lead-coordinated ligand.
