Connection between the Gut Microbiota of Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides) and Microbiota of the Pond Culture Environment

Qianfu Liu et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the gut microbiota of largemouth bass, as well as the pond water and sediment microbiota in subtropical ponds in southern China. Significant differences in compositions were found and they changed throughout the culture period.

CORRELATION BETWEEN INTESTINAL MICROBIOTA AND GROWTH OF WHITE SHRIMP (LITOPENAEUS VANNAMEI)

J. Y. Wu et al.

Summary: The intestinal microbiota may have an impact on the growth of white shrimps, with differences in composition between larger and smaller individuals. Larger shrimps have enrichment of Shewanella algae and Neptunomonas sp., while smaller shrimps have enrichment of various bacteria. Intestinal microbiota may promote shrimp growth by regulating metabolic characteristics and energy metabolism.
