Exploration of Glacial Landforms by Object-Based Image Analysis and Spectral Parameters of Digital Elevation Model

Lukasz Janowski et al.

Summary: This study successfully identified six categories of glacial landforms using high-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs) and automated methods, and developed an accurate workflow for classification. Through steps such as feature selection, object-based analysis, and random forest supervised classification, up to 96% overall accuracy can be achieved in identifying glacial landforms.
