Sustainability of Organic Cotton Fabric Dyeing with a Natural Dye (Gallnut) and Analysis by Multi-technique Approach

Emine Torgan Guzel et al.

Summary: This study involved dyeing six organic cotton interlock knitting fabrics with gallnut, four of which were post-treated with FeSO4.7H(2)O. Various analytical and technical methods were used to analyze the dyed fabrics. Results showed good dyeing effects, strong fastness properties, and high antimicrobial efficacy against gram-positive bacteria.

Preparation of Ag NPs and Its Multifunctional Finishing for Cotton Fabric

Jionglin Zhu et al.

Summary: This study successfully combined silver nanoparticles prepared in a green manner with cotton fabrics, fixing the Ag NPs on the fabric using a composite as a cross-linking agent, resulting in good antibacterial properties and comfort. The fabric maintained stability even after 50 washes. Through experimental characterization and performance testing, the potential application of the new zeolite-polyvinyl alcohol composite material was demonstrated.
