Adhesion of resin-based materials to eroded dentin: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Giovanni Riva Cavalletti de Rossi et al.

Summary: Research indicates that bond strength to eroded dentin is typically lower than to sound dentin, but can be improved through various chemical and mechanical treatments to approach values similar to sound dentin. Most studies show that after treatment, bond strength to eroded dentin can be significantly increased.

Degree of conversion and dentin bond strength of light-cured multi-mode adhesives pretreated or mixed with sulfinate agents

Mayu Hasegawa et al.

Summary: The use of sulfinate agents as dentin pretreatment significantly improved the micro-tensile bond strength and degree of conversion of light-cured 1-SEAs in etch&rinse mode. However, the mixture of sulfinate agents with 1-SEAs was less effective. Ethanol pretreatment showed a significant improvement in micro-tensile bond strength in etch&rinse mode but compromised it in self-etch mode.
