TLR-Mediated Cytokine Gene Expression in Chicken Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells as a Measure to Characterize Immunobiotics

Anna Slawinska et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that L. lactis can activate pro-inflammatory genes in chicken PBMC but not the anti-inflammatory gene IL-10. Genes IL-1 beta, IL-6, and IL-8 showed the highest mRNA expression fold change within 3 hours in response to TLR ligands.
