An Approach for Multifunctional Finishing of Cotton with the Help of Nano Titanium Silicon Oxide

Fazlihan Yilmaz et al.

Summary: In this study, water repellent and antibacterial cotton fabrics were successfully produced using a single-stepped finishing process. The fabrics were treated with a solution containing nano titanium silicon oxide and fluorocarbon-based water repellent. The treated cotton fabrics exhibited both water repellency and antibacterial activity, particularly against Staphylococcus aureus.
