Rapid transport of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in multimedia environment from karst area

Huanfang Huang et al.

Summary: The study analyzed 24 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in the multimedia environment from the Zigui karst area of China, revealing the presence of OCPs in soil, springwater, river water, and sediments. The spatial distribution, correlation analysis, and regression analysis indicated rapid OCP transport from soil to spring water, and from soil and spring water to river water, highlighting the vulnerability of karst groundwater to contaminants.
