Decay resistance of wood treated with copper oxide nanoparticles synthesised using leaf extracts of Lantana camara L. and Nerium oleander L.

K. S. Shiny et al.

Summary: In this study, copper oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using biological methods and it was found that a formulation containing Lantana camara leaf extract and CuO nanoparticles effectively protected wood from both white-rot and brown-rot fungi, while a formulation with Nerium oleander leaf extract and CuO nanoparticles protected only from brown-rot fungi.
