Chemical composition of Luffa aegyptiaca Mill., Agave durangensis Gentry and Pennisetum sp.

Oswaldo Moreno-Anguiano et al.

Summary: The study focused on the feasibility and performance of utilizing Luffa aegyptiaca, Agave durangensis, and Pennisetum sp. to manufacture particleboards. The results showed that L. aegyptiaca fruit had higher holocellulose content, suitable for particleboards with higher mechanical resistance, while Pennisetum sp. leaves were ideal for making particleboards with high resistance to water absorption.
