Selection of culture conditions for callus induction and proliferation by somatic embryogenesis of Pinus koraiensis

Fang Gao et al.

Summary: The study found that the Korean pine family origin and collection date significantly affected callus induction, with the best conditions for embryogenic maintenance and callus proliferation being a specific combination of medium and plant growth regulators. Transfer to new medium every 13-15 days maintained robust callus vigor and yielded a larger proliferation coefficient for scaling up propagation.
