A new approach for solving one-dimensional fractional boundary value problems via Haar wavelet collocation method

KumSong Jong et al.

Summary: In this paper, a numerical method for positive solutions to the m-point boundary value problems of fractional differential equations with p-Laplacian operator is proposed and the convergence for the scheme is proved. The operational matrix of fractional integration, based on accurate calculation of fractional integrals of Haar wavelet functions, is combined with the collocation method and fixed point iterative method to introduce function approximation and obtain the approximate solution. Additionally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the main results.

Stabilization of non-smooth variable order switched nonlinear systems

Xiao Peng et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the issue of global asymptotic stabilization for non-smooth variable order nonlinear switched systems with partial unstable modes. The existence and uniqueness of solution for the considered system is verified through Gronwall-Bellman inequality and the inductive method. Stabilization criteria are derived under the framework of Filippov differential inclusion, utilizing mode-dependent average dwell time and dwell time schemes. Real-life objects are introduced and a numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the validity of the results.

Fractional-order advection-dispersion problem solution via the spectral collocation method and the non -standard finite difference technique

Nasser Hassan Sweilam et al.

Summary: This article presents a numerical method for solving a fractional-order Advection-Dispersion equation (FADE) by utilizing the Caputo operator of fractional differentiation and orthogonal polynomials of the shifted Vieta-Fibonacci polynomials. The main problem is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations, which are then transformed into algebraic equations through spectral collocation technique and non-standard finite difference method. Convergence analysis and error estimate of the suggested method are investigated with numerical applications to demonstrate its applicability and accuracy.

A new fractional collocation method for a system of multi-order fractional differential equations with variable coefficients

A. Faghih et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new fractional Jacobi collocation method for solving a system of multi-order fractional differential equations with variable coefficients. The existence, uniqueness, and smoothness results are rigorously studied. The numerical approach includes a new interpolation operator and convergence analysis in both L-infinity and L-2 norms, with the applicability and validity of the method demonstrated through illustrative examples.

Arzu Ahmadova et al.

Summary: This study presents explicit analytical solutions for families of Langevin differential equations with general fractional orders, incorporating homogeneous and inhomogeneous cases. Novelty lies in applying appropriate norms in the proof of existence and uniqueness theorem, and discussing the application of fractional order Langevin differential equations in electrical circuits. Furthermore, Ulam-Hyers stability of Caputo type fractional Langevin differential equations is investigated, with an example provided to validate the main results.

Trivariate Mittag-Leffler functions used to solve multi-order systems of fractional differential equations

Arzu Ahmadova et al.

Summary: This study on linear systems of fractional differential equations reveals the need to introduce a new type of Mittag-Leffler function involving triple series and construct associated fractional calculus operators to obtain fully closed-form solutions. By comparing the solutions with existing vector-matrix solutions, explicit formulae for the elements of the 2×2 matrix Mittag-Leffler function are derived.

Bounded weak solutions of time-fractional porous medium type and more general nonlinear and degenerate evolutionary integro-differential equations

Petra Wittbold et al.

Summary: The paper proves the existence of a bounded weak solution to a degenerate quasilinear subdiffusion problem with bounded measurable coefficients that may explicitly depend on time. A key ingredient in the proof is a new compactness criterion of Aubin-Lions type, and boundedness of the solution is obtained by the De Giorgi iteration technique. Regular solutions are shown to be unique through an L-1-contraction estimate.

T. Ismail Huseynov et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on solving a class of Langevin fractional time-delay differential equations through explicit analytical representation, utilizing delayed Mittag-Leffler type functions and fractional analogues. Solutions to both homogeneous and inhomogeneous cases are obtained, with the existence and uniqueness problem addressed using Banach's fixed point theorem. Additionally, stability analysis of solutions to Langevin time-delay differential equations is proposed based on the fixed point approach, and the effectiveness of the results is demonstrated through an example.

Bernoulli wavelet method for numerical solution of anomalous infiltration and diffusion modeling by nonlinear fractional differential equations of variable order

Devendra Chouhan et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a generalized fractional-order Bernoulli wavelet function based on Bernoulli wavelets to solve problems of variable-order nonlinear fractional differential equations. By constructing wavelet functions and using operational matrices of integration, the fractional differential equations are converted into algebraic equations. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness, applicability, and accuracy of the proposed Bernoulli wavelet method.
