Dog rabies control in West and Central Africa: A review

Celine Mbilo et al.

Summary: Rabies is a neglected zoonotic disease in West and Central African countries, with varying levels of government commitment and financial constraints impacting efforts to eliminate the disease. While some countries have prioritized rabies elimination, others face challenges due to lack of government support and resources. Collaboration and support from leading countries, as well as international solidarity, are essential to achieve the goal of zero human rabies deaths by 2030.
