Phosphorylation of Collapsin Response Mediator Protein 1 (CRMP1) at Tyrosine 504 residue regulates Semaphorin 3A-induced cortical dendritic growth

Takeshi Kawashima et al.

Summary: Phosphorylation of CRMP1 at residue Tyr504 by Fyn is critical for Sema3A-regulated dendritic development of cortical pyramidal neurons. Fyn phosphorylates CRMP1, leading to an increase in phosphotyrosine signal in growth cones upon Sema3A stimulation. Mutant CRMP1-Tyr504Phe suppresses Sema3A-induced growth cone collapse and dendritic growth in mouse neurons.
