A new MAX phases-based electroconductive coating for high-temperature oxidizing environment

T. A. Prikhna et al.

Summary: This paper presents the results of variations in structure, oxidation resistance, and electrical conductivity of a novel MAXphase composite coating. It demonstrates that the Ti-Al-C coating maintains high electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance even after long-term heating in air. The study also reveals that specimen surface layers of MAX-phases and chromium-containing steel become semiconductors due to high-temperature long-term oxidation.

Highly conductive and scalable Ti3C2Tx-coated fabrics for efficient electromagnetic interference shielding

Simge Uzun et al.

Summary: This study developed highly conductive fabrics for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding by dip-coating conventional cotton and linen fabrics in Ti3C2Tx MXene dyes, showing significant EMI shielding effectiveness compared to commercial metal-based conductive fabrics. The EMI shielding effectiveness of the fabrics increased with the number of dip-coating cycles and remained stable even after two years of storage under ambient conditions.
