The typification of the name Hordeum marinum Hudson (Poaceae) is discussed in this article. The lectotypification of the name is carried out using an original illustration and an epitype is also selected. Another name, H. gussoneanum, is also discussed and a specimen preserved at FI is designated as second step lectotype.
