Effect of Washing on the Electrochemical Performance of a Three-Dimensional Current Collector for Energy Storage Applications

Sajid Ali Ansari et al.

Summary: The development of efficient materials for energy storage applications, especially for supercapacitors and batteries, is crucial. This study investigated the effect of washing three-dimensional nickel foam with different concentrations of hydrochloric acid and ethanol on its surface characteristics, electrochemical behavior, and storage performance. The results showed that pretreatment of the nickel foam with 3M hydrochloric acid changed the surface morphology and improved its electrochemical properties.
