Shadow and weak deflection angle of extended uncertainty principle black hole surrounded with dark matter

Reggie C. Pantig et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the possible effects of dark matter on a Schwarzschild black hole with the correction of extended uncertainty principle (EUP), finding that the black hole temperature is independent of any dark matter concentration and a greater dark matter density is needed to have remarkable effects on null orbits.

Nonlinear electrodynamics effects on the black hole shadow, deflection angle, quasinormal modes and greybody factors

M. Okyay et al.

Summary: In this paper, the effects of nonlinear electrodynamics (NED) on non-rotating black holes are discussed, including various observable and physical properties. It is found that the NED black hole is always surrounded by an event horizon and any magnetic charge is permissible. The black hole gets colder with increasing charge, and the observed shadow radius is strongly affected by the magnetic charge parameter P. The introduction of charge steepens the greybody factor of the black hole.

Weak deflection angle by asymptotically flat black holes in Horndeski theory using Gauss-Bonnet theorem

Wajiha Javed et al.

Summary: The main goal of this project is to investigate the gravitational lensing by asymptotically flat black holes in the context of Horndeski theory in weak field limits. The study utilizes the Gauss-Bonnet theorem and Gibbons-Werner technique to calculate the deflection angle of photons, and examines the influence of plasma medium on this effect. The research also explores the graphical impact of deflection angle on asymptotically flat black holes in both plasma and non-plasma medium.

Black hole shadow in symmergent gravity

Irfan Cimdiker et al.

Summary: Symmergent gravity is an emerging R+R-2 gravity theory that restores gauge symmetries broken explicitly by ultraviolet cutoff in effective field theories. Novel black hole solutions have been constructed to test symmergent gravity, and the results show that various indicators are sensitive probes of it and the particle spectrum of the underlying quantum field theory.

Influence of quantum correction on black hole shadows, photon rings, and lensing rings

Jun Peng et al.

Summary: The study shows that quantum corrected Schwarzschild black holes violate universal inequalities proved for asymptotically flat black holes in the framework of Einstein gravity, and this violation seems to be common when considering quantum modification of Einstein gravity. Due to this violation, the quantum corrected Schwarzschild black hole exhibits a larger bright lensing ring in observations compared to the classical Schwarzschild black hole.

Gravitational lensing by a quantum deformed Schwarzschild black hole

Xu Lu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the weak and strong deflection gravitational lensing by a quantum deformed Schwarzschild black hole and assesses the detectability of the quantum deformation. Comparisons with other types of black holes show that it is most likely to test the quantum deformed Schwarzschild black hole via its weak deflection lensing observables in the foreseeable future.

Black hole with confining electric potential in scalar-tensor description of regularized 4-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity

A. Ovgun

Summary: This paper presents an exact confining charged black hole solution in the scalar-tensor description of regularized 4-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity coupled to non-linear gauge theory. The importance of using a non-trivial 4D theory of Gauss-Bonnet gravity is emphasized, and the study of its properties such as temperature, specific heat, shadow, and quasinormal modes is conducted. The results show the significant contribution of a confining charge to the shadow and quasinormal modes frequencies of the black hole.

Weak deflection angle by electrically and magnetically charged black holes from nonlinear electrodynamics

Qi-Ming Fu et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on two types of black hole solutions based on nonlinear electrodynamics models and calculates the weak deflection angle of light and charged particles by these black holes. The results show that the electric and magnetic charges of the black hole reduce the deflection angle, and the one-loop corrections make a positive contribution to it. Additionally, the deflection angle changes noticeably for charged particles due to electrostatic interaction.
