Non-pharmacological interventions of pain management used during labour; an exploratory descriptive qualitative study of puerperal women in Adidome Government Hospital of the Volta Region, Ghana

Summary: Women have experienced severe labour pain lasting more than 12 hours, and various coping strategies such as shouting, walking around, crying, staying calm, and deep breathing exercises were used. Other methods included talking to family, taking a shower, and receiving intravenous therapy. The presence of the husband during labour was found to improve pain tolerance.
