Dissecting the immune landscape of tumor draining lymph nodes in melanoma with high-plex spatially resolved protein detection

Georgia M. Beasley et al.

Summary: In melanoma patients, the infiltration of CD3 cells in the sentinel lymph nodes varies among patients, with higher infiltration of CD11c and CD3 cells in the SLN tumor region associated with longer overall survival. Expression of DC activation markers such as CD86, HLA-DR, and OX40L on CD11c cells within the SLN tumor region correlates with patient survival, with lowest expression in patients with shorter survival and highest in patients with longer survival. Further studies are needed in a larger cohort to validate these findings.
