RNF43 overexpression attenuates the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway to suppress tumour progression in cholangiocarcinoma

Norma Sainstika Pangestu et al.

Summary: RING finger protein 43 (RNF43) negatively regulates Wnt/beta-catenin signaling in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and its overexpression inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and enhances chemotherapeutic sensitivity by downregulating Wnt/beta-catenin target genes. The study suggests a tumor suppressive role for RNF43 in CCA by blocking beta-catenin nuclear translocation and reducing drug susceptibility.
