Ramzi Shawahna et al.

Summary: The study revealed significant awareness and knowledge gaps among medical students regarding ASDs, with low confidence in providing healthcare services to individuals with ASDs. Framing autism in newspaper media: an example from Finland

Henri Pesonen et al.

Summary: This study analyzed 210 full newspaper reports from the largest daily appearing newspaper by circulation in Finland from 1990 to 2016. Approximately two-thirds of the reports used a straightforward informational or clinical lens to educate the public, which is consistent with international studies. The study revealed four additional themes of medical and societal ASD reporting, increasing understanding of how the media shapes public perception of ASD.
