Safety assessment of subtilisin QK in rats

Shuai Xiao et al.

Summary: Subtilisin QK is a serine protease with fibrinolytic activity, and studies indicate it has low toxicity when orally consumed. In rat experiments, no adverse effects were observed, even at doses up to 25,000 FU/kg.
