A randomized, double blind, parallel, placebo-controlled study to investigate the efficacy of Lactobacillus paracasei N1115 in gut development of young children

Summary: In this clinical trial, the probiotic LP N1115 was investigated for its potential in enhancing gut development in young children born by caesarean section. The results showed that while there were no significant differences in stool consistency, gastrointestinal symptoms, salivary cortisol, and short-chain fatty acids between the LP N1115 group and the placebo group overall, there were subtle changes noted in the microbiome of the children receiving LP N1115, particularly in the 6-18 months age group.
