Labiobaetis Novikova & Kluge in West Africa (Ephemeroptera, Baetidae), with description of a new species

Thomas Kaltenbach et al.

Summary: Material collected from Guinea, Mali, and Ivory Coast between 1984 and 2008 significantly expanded our understanding of Labiobaetis Novikova & Kluge in West Africa. Eight different species were identified using morphological characters, including a newly described species L. ediai sp. nov. The divergent morphology of certain species and the distribution of Labiobaetis species in the Afrotropical realm were also discussed.
